The first experiment will be the line between Nîmes and Grau du Roi (30) in the summer of this year, and followed by four more ,including Perpignan-Villefranche/Conflent (66) in December 2011, Carcassonne-Quillan (11) in the spring of 2012,La Bastide-Mende-Marvejols (48) in the summer of 2012,and finally , Béziers-Bédarieux (34) at the end of 2012.
SNCF,who will operate the lines ,has already expressed its concerns, claiming that the increased frequency “will lead to security issues”,they also pointed out that the TER network in the Languedoc-Roussillon is “already heavily congested”.
